Ravenswood Remix is Chicago’s recycled art festival featuring art that’s drawn from outside the margins with a refreshing remix of indie, intuitive, folk, and craft art made from recycled and found materials.
This two-day event held over Labor Day weekend, which benefits local school art programs, also features workshops and educational happenings for all ages. With a reputation for eclectic artists, original music and food from forward thinking restaurants, Ravenswood Remix has already received a considerable amount of press including being a Metromix pick and getting coined by Red Eye magazine as “one of the best new fests to check out.”
Celebrating its second year, the Ravenswood Remix is set in one of the oldest and most unique neighborhoods. This juried event will feature both local & national artists; with a projected attendance anticipated to exceed 10,000. Press for the 2011 event included ABC Local, CBS Chicago, Center Square Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, Daily Candy, Huffington Post, Metromix, MSN Local Edition, Red Eye and the Welles Park Bulldog.
