Who: Funded by a grant from The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, Alyssa Miserendino’s, “Our World Insideout: Chicago before & after” is a photographic exhibition about Chicago homes in 2009 and now in 2012. The exhibit will feature a three dimensional sound installation donated by ARUP and a sound piece mixed by Saint the Good Boy.
“Our World Insideout” is a larger collection of work that examines the cycle of our homes and the delineation between what happens behind closed doors versus what is communicated to the outside world. It spans across numerous cities including New Orleans, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Sao Paulo, and Chicago. Miserendino recently spoke about the collection at TED Talent Search 2012, in Sao Paulo.
The show will run from December 6th to January 11th – then the work moves to the Elmhurst Art Museum for exhibition from January 18 – Mid April.
