Project606 Dance is proud to announce Story & Discourse, the first show of their 2012-2013 season. Performances will be held at Stage 773’s Pro Theatre (1225 W. Belmont, Chicago) October 26th and 27th at 8:00 p.m. and October 28th at 2:00 p.m.
Story & Discourse will premiere three new works, each inspired by narratives personal to the choreographers. Artistic Director Meghann Mueller’s piece, Fixed In One Long Gaze, investigates self-absorption in dance through the myth of Narcissus. Resident choreographer Jenny Demuth continues to showcase her talent for combining humor, nonsense, and movement with Curiouser and Curiouser, a piece partly inspired by Dr. Seuss and Grimm’s Fairy Tales. New York City based choreographer Jacqui Dean (of Staten Island Ballet) will unveil a new piece entitled Fragile Distance, which examines barriers in every day life.
Tickets for the performances are $20 or $16 for students and children. The venue features a full bar, and patrons are welcome to bring purchased beverages into the performance. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, over the phone(773.327.5252), or online at www.stage773.com/tickets.
