FREE Through Jan 2: “Naughty and Nice.” This exhibition group show showcases ceramic sculptures by 30 nationally recognized artists who created a pair of related pieces around the theme of Naughty and Nice. Opening Nov. 18. Reception Dec. 2, 6-10 P.M.
FREE Friday, Nov. 25: “Counter the Chaos.” Defy the traditional Black Friday shopping events because on Friday, Nov. 25 Lillstreet Art Center will offer special discounts on items in the artisan gift shop, free gift wrapping, child art activities and complimentary chair massages.
FREE Friday, Dec. 2: “36th Annual Holiday Party.” This party will feature live music, a silent auction to support the Lillstreet Art Center Artist-in-Residence program and refreshments from First Slice Café from 6-10 p.m. All studios, including many that have been recently transformed and expanded, will be opened and can be explored during the event. By opening up the studios, guests have the opportunity to survey the design room areas and chat with artists. The newly expanded Gallery and Artisan Gift Shop will be chock-a-block with one-of-kind ceramics, textiles, jewelry and more.
FREE Saturday, Dec. 3: “The Holiday Open House.” All studios, including many that have been recently transformed and expanded, will be opened and can be explored during the event. Open House will also have free workshops available to preview the upcoming classes that start week of January 9 from noon to 5 p.m.
KIDS Through Dec. 17: “Drop and Shop Saturdays.” On Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. parents have the opportunity to drop off their children for an art class (perhaps to make a special gift for grandma?) while they browse Lillstreet’s beautiful Gallery and Artisan Gift Shop or enjoy a brief respite from holiday hustle and bustle at the First Slice Café.
