Artist Statement: Painting is a place where images from my unconscious are able to arise and be projected onto canvas. These images come not only from my dreams and personal experiences, but also from a connection to something larger, deeper, a shared collective energy. This process is soothing but it is also awakening. For me art is my spiritual path where I explore my internal landscapes, the never ending, timeless terrain of my unconscious. A place where I feel part of that collective energy which I can both draw from and contribute to. I have come to call these paintings “Internal Landscapes” because I feel I’m on a journey, wandering through unmapped, unexpected terrain, discovering my inner world…my soul.
