A photographic exhibit of the art of tattoo
CHICAGO (January 18, 2012) – The Chicago Photography Center, a not-for-profit organization offering photography classes and exhibits featuring professional, emerging and student photographers, welcomes the public to a multi-event fundraiser and opening night of I ♥INK, a photography exhibit featuring over thirty images of intricate and stunning tattoos. Photographers include Charles Osgood and JoséMoré.
Friday February 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. will be CPC’s fundraising gala. The evening will include delicious barbeque from Rowdy Dowdy Barbeque, along with: Metropolitan Brewery ,Whiskey-tasting with Koval Distillery Wine-tasting with James Lester of Wyncroft Wineries, Wishbone Restaurant. Windy City Harley will be there with one of their Harley Davidson bikes on display.
On Saturday February 4th from 3:00-6:00pm CPC will offer a one-time special workshop. The Tattoo Photography Workshop will be a hands-on exercise for students to learn techniques of photographing body art, lighting set-up, and how to properly edit skin without marring the body art, while still achieving smooth skin tones.
Saturday evening (7:00-10:00pm) is the exhibit opening for the general public. The exhibit is curated by Susan Aurinko and Warren Perlstein, and will run from February 4 to February 24, 2012 at the Chicago Photography Center, located at 3301 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago.
